Eric Fortenberry – President, Founder and CEO of OrgSync
Eric Fortenberry founded OrgSync in 2007 and serves as President and CEO. Eric is responsible for OrgSync’s overall strategic vision and direction, and is extremely passionate about leveraging technology to develop easy-to-use solutions for higher education that are both reliable and scalable. Eric is also adamant about providing the highest levels of customer service, which has helped the Company to establish partnerships with 450+ colleges and universities and over 5 million users around the world. Under his leadership, the Company has experienced unprecedented growth since it’s founding.
Eric has been named to Inc. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 List of the World’s Coolest Young Entrepreneurs who are disrupting industries, making millions, and building highly successful companies — all before the age of 30. Eric has also received awards at the White House and the United Nations for being named to the Empact 100 List, which showcases the Best Companies Started and Run by Young Entrepreneurs, for three consecutive years. OrgSync has also been recognized multiple times as a Best Place to Work and has won several other awards for it’s company culture, rapid growth, and innovative technology solutions.
Prior to founding OrgSync, Eric had a career in investment banking at MHT Partners where he focused on high growth, middle market, education technology companies. Eric earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas. Eric is an Eagle Scout and a LeaderShape Institute graduate. In his free time, Eric enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and playing ice hockey and golf.
